Reading thru the Book of Mormon?

WHY I QUIT BLOGGING
through "Come Follow Me - The Book of Mormon"
You can still read below each weeks

As you read the Book of Mormon
Be sure to think about
how each week's reading
fulfills the claims made about the Book

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
has called the Book of Mormon
"the most correct book on earth"
"the keystone of the LDS Religion"
the book which
"would get a man nearer to God than any other book."

It is claimed that the Book of Mormon contains:
"The Fullness of the Gospel, the Restored Gospel,"
"Plain and Precious" Gospel truths such as:
Heavenly Father is an exalted Man - Three separate Gods -
Our Pre-Mortal existence as spirit children -
Faithfully doing all we can to receive God's Grace -
Three Kingdoms of Glory - Church Organization -
Present Day Apostles, Seers, Revelators - Personal Revelation -
Eternal Life is Exaltation like God -
Temple Endowments, Sealings, Baptisms for the dead, Marriage -
and numerous other essential doctrines lost or rejected by
the "apostate churches."
I challenge you to carefully look for these things
as you read through the Book of Mormon.

Another Testament of Jesus Christ?

Modern editions of the BOM have the phrase "Another Testament of Jesus Christ" as the sub-title. I am reminded that Luke began the story often called "The Acts of The Apostles" with the words: "In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, 2 until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. 3 He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God." Reading the book of Acts we can indeed see what the Apostles, especially Paul, did after Jesus Ascension described in Acts 1. But Lukes use of the words "all that Jesus began to do and teach," has led many to see the book as "The Acts of the Risen Jesus."
Considering the fact that the Book of Mormon claims to contain the acts of Jesus in the Americas. If it is true it could be considered another testimony of the acts of Jesus. If the book is true it should be considered along with the Bible book of Acts as authoritative Scripture. So it is reasonable to compare the two books and put them both to the same tests for authenticity. For that reason it will be interesting to ask questions of both books as we read through them in 2024.
