As you read the Book of Mormon
Be sure to think about
how each week's reading
fulfills the claims made about the Book

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
has called the Book of Mormon
"the most correct book on earth"
"the keystone of the LDS Religion"
the book which
"would get a man nearer to God than any other book."

It is claimed that the Book of Mormon contains:
"The Fullness of the Gospel, the Restored Gospel,"
"Plain and Precious" Gospel truths such as:
Heavenly Father is an exalted Man - Three separate Gods -
Our Pre-Mortal existence as spirit children -
Faithfully doing all we can to receive God's Grace -
Three Kingdoms of Glory - Church Organization -
Present Day Apostles, Seers, Revelators - Personal Revelation -
Eternal Life is Exaltation like God -
Temple Endowments, Sealings, Baptisms for the dead, Marriage -
and numerous other essential doctrines lost or rejected by
the "apostate churches."
I challenge you to carefully look for these things
as you read through the Book of Mormon.

CFM: The Lord can help me influence my family for good
>JNE: It depends on what "for good" means
CFM: I can receive forgiveness as I exercise faith in Christ
>JNE: Why then do the LDS believe forgiveness requires "sincere and complete repentance?"

>JNE: Unless the blessing you are looking for is forgiveness, salvation, etc. things which to the LDS require actually keeping all the commandments.
CFM: Come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel

Looking for TRUTH in "the most correct book on earth"
"the keystone of the LDS Religion"
The Book of Mormon which
"would get a man nearer to God than any other book."

? Finishing the first seven books in the Book of Mormon, the only historically identifiable places or names are of Bible places and Bible names. There is no "America." I find no ancient archaeological references to any Book of Mormon place names other than various locations assumed by modern LDS sources. I find no archaeological references to any Book of Mormon people. It is common to read "possibly, likely" kind of references by LDS writings regarding Book of Mormon places and people. I realize that it is proposed that God builds faith by hiding authentication of Book of Mormon geography and history. Why then has God given such a great volume of authentication for Bible geography and history?
? Jarom says of the Nephites, they "multiplied exceedingly, and spread upon the face of the land, and became exceeding rich in gold, and in silver, and in precious things, and in fine workmanship of wood, in buildings, and in machinery, and also in iron, and copper, and brass, and steel, making all manner of tools of every kind to till the ground, and weapons of war..." Where is "exceedingly multiplied" evidence of such culture anywhere in the Americas.
? In Omni, Amaleki says that "Zedekiah" was king of Judah and carried away in captivity to Babylon. I find no reference to a King Zedekiah in the Bible.

Looking in these chapters of The Book of Mormon for "The Fullness of the Gospel" "The Restored Gospel" of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
i.e.: The GOSPEL? ... The PLAN OF SALVATION? ... The CHURCH? ... TEMPLES? ... KINGDOMS OF GLORY? ... The GODHEAD??
>>> Enos asked God how his "guilt was washed away?" God "sayeth unto him: "Because of thy faith in Christ,"
? Jarom said the prophets were "teaching the Law of Moses." But I have yet to see in the Book of Mormon any descriptions of what the Law of Moses contained,
? Amaleki talked about being "a partaker" of "salvation and redemption." He said: Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth, ye will be saved." Why no mention of all the other things that LDS teach that being saved requires. Things like, baptism, priesthoods, covenants, endowments, marriage, etc.?
