As you read the Book of Mormon
Be sure to think about
how each week's reading
fulfills the claims made about the Book

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
has called the Book of Mormon
"the most correct book on earth"
"the keystone of the LDS Religion"
the book which
"would get a man nearer to God than any other book."

It is claimed that the Book of Mormon contains:
"The Fullness of the Gospel, the Restored Gospel,"
"Plain and Precious" Gospel truths such as:
Heavenly Father is an exalted Man - Three separate Gods -
Our Pre-Mortal existence as spirit children -
Faithfully doing all we can to receive God's Grace -
Three Kingdoms of Glory - Church Organization -
Present Day Apostles, Seers, Revelators - Personal Revelation -
Eternal Life is Exaltation like God -
Temple Endowments, Sealings, Baptisms for the dead, Marriage -
and numerous other essential doctrines lost or rejected by
the "apostate churches."
I challenge you to carefully look for these things
as you read through the Book of Mormon.

CFM: (Come Follow Me - Study Guide Topics)
>JNE: (Observations by J Neil Evans)
CFM Week Theme: Be Reconciled Unto God Through The Atonement of Christ
CFM: I have an errand from the Lord
>JNE: If Jacob got his errand from the Lord, why do LDS get their errands (callings) from church authorities?
CFM: Let not this pride of your hearts destroy your souls
>JNE: How long since you have heard a message of "your wickedness and abominations" in your temple, like Jacob preached? Are there no Lamanite-like people among the LDS today?
CFM: God delights in chastity.
>JNE: Actually the Book of Mormon text says: in the context of the "abomination" of polygamy, "the Lord God delighted in the chastity of women." So some LDS prophets were not chaste perhaps because they were not women?
CFM: I can be reconciled to God through the Atonement of Jesus Christ
>JNE: Doesn't the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints teach that additional things are required?
CFM: I can avoid spiritual blindness by focusing on the Savior
>JNE: The Book of Mormon text says: "...it is by his grace ... that we have power to do these things."

Looking for TRUTH in "the most correct book on earth"
"the keystone of the LDS Religion"
The Book of Mormon which
"would get a man nearer to God than any other book."

? "fifty and five years from the time that Lehi left Jerusalem"
In fifty-five years the one or two dozen people who left Jerusalem became two nations?
? 2:24... "Behold David and Solomon truly had many wives and concubines, which thing was abominable before me, saith the Lord..." So, polygamy of Joseph Smith and other LDS was permissible because of personal revelation? So is polygamy and other abominations okay if received by personal revelation? Could Joseph Smith have been "visited with a sore curse of destruction (killed in jail) because of his whoredoms?" (:33)

? The present Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints describes the "curse of darkness" as spiritual. How has the curse changed from what the Book of Mormon calls the "curses which hath come upon their skins?" Challenging the Nephites to repent lest the "skins" of the Laminates are not "whiter than yours."
? Like the Holy Prophets before us (in Israel) "we keep the law of Moses." Where is the evidence of New World Temple sacrifices, feasts, etc.? Why is Isaiah extensively quoted but none of "Leviticus or Deuteronomy?
